Old Time Radio Testimonials

Post a message...

I received my order yesterday and once again I want to thank you for such a great job, not only of giving us these radio programs at a low cost, but, of course, for your speedy service. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for my MP3 CDs which arrived on Monday, having been ordered here from England just the previous Tuesday - some sort of postal record, I think! As usual I was most impressed by the quality of the recordings as well as of the shows themselves; the updated versions of some of my favourites (Phillip Marlowe, On Stage and Let George Do It) are brilliant, but they're the cause of a newly discovered medical problem - OTR Insomnia. Every night I've been putting off going to bed so that I can listen to just one more show, and let me tell you that the resulting 'panda eyes' are NOT a good look .

Great site and love that Cat!! Thanks, Jon, for keeping old radio alive and well.

WHEN I TELL PEOPLE THAT I LISTEN TO OLD TIME RADIO SHOWS THEY ASKED ME WHY DO I LISTEN TO SHOWS ON RADIO WHAT MAKES IT SO SPECIAL. I TELL THEM THAT ONE (BEING 70 YEARS OLD) IDIDN'T HAVE TV WHEN I WAS ACHILD LIKE THEY DO TODAY. RADIO WAS THE FAMILY'S ENTERTAINMENT OUTLET IN THE 40'S AND 50'S LISTENING TO THE SHOWS WAS THE WAY TO ENJOY THE EVENING. EVEN WHEN SOME THE SHOWS WENT TO TV IN THE 50'S THERE WAS SOMETHING MISSING. IT JUST WASN'T THE SAME FOR THE DRAMA.S, THE MISTERIES, AND ANY SHOW THAT WASN'T A VARIETY SHOW. THE REASON WAS THAT WHILE YOU COULD WATCH WHAT WAS GOING ON ON TV THE FACT THAT LISTENING TO THE RADIO YOU HAD TO USE YOUR IMAGINATION AND PICTURE IN YOUR MIND WHAT WENT ON. THIS MADE YOU PAY MORE ATTENTION TO WHAT WAS GOING ON. THAT IS WHY I LOVE LISTENING TO THE OLD SHOWS NOW BESIDES BRING BACK FOND MEMORIES OF MY CHILDHOOD AND SPENDING TIME WITH THR REST OF THE FAMILY. THE SHOWS ARE VIVID IN YOUR MIND. JON THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO HELP PRESERVE THOSE MEMORIES FOR US. ANDY

Thanks for running such a great business. I've really enjoyed everything I've gotten from you and love to tell people how much fun these old shows are. Great for the imagination!

Thank you so much for providing such a variety of old time shows at reasonable prices!! I love listening to them.

This is the best business I have ever dealt with. The CD(MP3s) contain up to 40 + HOURS of drama, comedy, mysteries, thrillers, whathaveyous for $5 and get a full 40-hour collection on another CD actually free. Great service. Spectacular price. Incredible selection of thousands and thousands of shows.

Just wanted to say that I got my items in record time, and am totally satisfied with my purchase. The CDs of Our Miss Brooks are everything I hoped they would be and more. I can't say enough nice things about your friendly and efficient service and product. I would rate this transaction with ***** five stars for perfect or 100%. Thanks so much Jon, and everyone at OTRCat

I enjoyed this month's article by Eric Behiem.

I've shared it with 2 co-workers who also were from Cleveland, although both were born some years later.

I was born ten years after Mr.Behiem,in Dec 1956,but born in Oakland,CA when my late father was in the Navy there.

I've been collecting radio shows for about 20 years now, from your company most recently.

I've always been interested in hearing from people who "were there" growing up experiencing those radio shows of various kinds first hand, and wondering where they listened to radio the most,at home or in their cars...,and to what programs, local,or nationally known.

" I am recovering from open heart surgery and have the great pleasure of listening to OTR radio stories that I have recorded. These Mp3 stories are from my childhood era so are very special to me as I can once again visualize the Lone ranger, or The Saint in the story being told. Thank You for the wonderful recordings"

Everything I have order from you has been great, even though i haven't ordered in awhile. Thank you for keeping Old Time Radio alive.

Otrcat is the best of the best source for "old time radio shows" just received another great two CD's from them the other day, if you are truly an old time radio buff like me this is the premier place to look for and buy your favorite shows of the past. Thanks to Jon and what he offers to all of us who love listening to the classic shows of the past!

Thank you for the classy mouse pad and the Presidential Inaugural Addresses disk. I know when I buy from
Otrcat.com I get first class service and an outstanding quality product.

One of my favorite memories is sitting with my elbows on my knees and my head in my hand and face in the Emerson console radio speaker and my mother in a easy chair in the background listening to The lone ranger or maybe The Shadow!
I read the Leatherstocking tales in my younger days and hope they will be as good as I remember. I also read sea stories like Horatio Hornblower from the C S Forrester series on him. The only made 1 or 2 radio show about them if I remember right and one movie with gregory Peck playing that part. Thanks for the memories!

Jon, My Christmas present was a oortable radio/ CD and MP3 player from Amazon. it is not expensive and is a Cornet product. It plays your disks very well. AC cord. and 8 C batteries.
