"Okay this is Guard Session, reel one, take one."
Lend an ear as Martin Block hosts the musical program sponsored by the US National Guard. Known for his old time radio show, The Make Believe Ballroom, during the swing era (where he plugged such musicians as Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, and Count Basie), Martin Block returns with a new era of musicians. We sit in "recording sessions with Block and such great artists as Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Vic Damone, Stan Kenton, Xavier Cugat, and more. In addition to great music, The Guard Sessions also include friendly banter with the musicians and information about their then-upcoming albums. So turn up the hi fi and relax with some of the greatest popular music of yesteryear.
