Smilin' Jack was a juvenile adventure show that is based on the famous comic strips by Zack Mosley. Frank Readick played the primary role of Smilin' Jack Martin.

The show, based on international crime-fighting, aviation adventure, was one of the best children's shows that made the jump from the funny pages to the radio waves.

Along with Dixie Lee, the Airhostess, and Rufus, the Hillybilly mechanic, Smilin' Jack fought crime all over the world. There were many other popular children's aviation shows. Though the old time radio show Smilin' Jack only lasted one run, the comic strip was printed between the years 1933 and 1973 and thrilled children over many generations. This collection comprises a few rare episodes still existence. This series is not to be confused with the singing Smilin Jack Smith.
