The US Navy and Navy Reserve welcome you aboard to hear the best in all kinds of jazz. Created as a program to encourage navy recruits during the 1960s, The Navy Swings features both famous and up-and-coming jazz artists of the era. Included in this list of great musicians we have Joe Williams, Phil Crosby (Bing’s grandson), Eddie Safranski and his Orchestra, Don Cherry, Al Caiola, Dick Stabile, Marty Napoleon and the boys, and Fran Warren. So dawn on those navy trousers and get that snapping finger warmed up because the navy is ready to swing!
