  
Great Plays is a fine old time radio show featuring reputable plays from throughout of human history as early as Aristophanes from ancient Athens. Other notable authors represented in Great Plays include William Shakespeare, Victor Hugo, George Bernard Shaw, Richard Sheridan, Pierre Corneille, Robert Fitzgerald, James M. Barrie, William Gillette, and many more.
Blevins Davis, William S. Rainey, and Charles Warburton directed Great Plays respectively; Davis also wrote many of the adaptations. Great Plays was heard on Sunday afternoons from 1938 until 1942.
