Freedom's People is a deeply patriotic radio show celebrating democracy and freedom. Made by and for African-Americans, the show featured some of the greatest leaders in 1940s black culture including, Renaissance man Paul Robeson, Count Basie, Cab Calloway, Civil Rights Leader A. Phillip Randolph, composer Noble Sissle, leading blues musician W.C. Handy, and even inventor and scientist George Washington Carver made an appearance.
The show's theme week to week covered "Contributions from American Negros" in various topics including music, education, military, science, the arts, and more. The shows are quite rare, but the sound quality is good.
