The Adventures of Frank Farrell was syndicated by the Russell C. Comer Company, the same outfit who early sold Skelly Oil the concept of The Air Adventures of Jimmie Allen. We are lucky to have the Audition Program for Frank Farrell in this collection. A syndicated show, it would have been recorded on discs which were sent to the radio stations who played it or the local merchant who would sponsor the broadcast.
"Frank Farrell plays fair to win square, he believes in America and Americans" explains Coach Grover in the Audition. The audition is about the basketball game between Trent High and the City Champions. Coach Grover is supposed to be one of the referees, but he has not shown up, and Frank suspects foul play. In another adventure, Frank and his friends Jim, Spud and Helen are towing a racing car to Syracuse, Kansas when they are waylaid by robbers who steal their gasoline. The next thing you know, the cops show up thinking that the kids are bank robbers!
Coach Grover explains to the sponsors in the audition that the show can be used in merchandising their products, but for us The Adventures of Frank Farrell is just a lot of wholesome fun!

Thank you for having such a wonderful website and introducing to me fabulous recordings of singers who I would never have heard of in the UK. I am grateful to have by chance discovered your company. Thanks a million.
