Young Love is a situational comedy about two naïve lovebirds who get married while in college. The couple, Jimmy aka Einstein and Janet, decide that they don't want to wait to get married and try to find room in the course schedule to elope. Jimmy quips, "If we got married, we wouldn't have anything to fight about." After running into trouble getting a marriage license and a witness, the young couple happily marries with Janet holding a potted geranium.
With only 89 cents in his pocket "Einstein" spends the last of his worldly goods to buy his new wife Janet a teddy bear. Janet and Jimmy decide to hide their marriage so that Janet can keep her scholarship for single women and stay in the dorms. Jimmy lives with his fraternity brother in the Delta Phi Beta fraternity house.
Young Love was a summer replacement series for Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts. Young Love stars Janet Waldo and Jimmy Lyndon as Janet and Jimmy. Shirley Mitchell from The Great Gildersleeve also stars as Janet's comical roommate.
