"The once in a lifetime, never-to-be-forgotten moment
in the careers of the great stars of Hollywood and Broadway."
Each week, Show Stoppers brought "a star and a story" into peoples homes all over the US. The show featured a famous actor from Hollywood or Broadway discussing their show stopping moment, the moment when they knew they made it as an actor.
The show, sponsored by Koret of California, was part interview and part dramatization. Host Knox Manning, talked with the star, asking questions about previous jobs, how they got into show business, family and much more. After several minutes of talking with Manning, the actor would participate in a dramatization of the moment they were just discussing, like a small radio play within the radio program.
This collection of rare recordings contains the stories of Rudy Vallee, Boris Karloff, Kay Kyser and more!
