"Well, well, well here's Mama Bloom's Brood..."
Mama Bloom's Brood is a serial comedy series about a Jewish American family driving in an automobile across America to see Hollywood. They make multiple funny stops along the way. Mama and Papa Bloom are going by their two daughters Yetta and Sarah and their respective husbands Harold and Sydney. Mama Bloom's Brood was syndicated in 1934.
The show is often compared to very popular old time radio comedy show, The Goldbergs, which also features a Jewish American Family. Mama Bloom's Brood was featured in the book, Radio and the Jews The Untold Story of How Radio Influenced America's Image of Jews, 1920s-1950s By David S. and Susan Siegel.
