The True Adventures of Junior G-Men features true crime stories from the files of the FBI. G-Men are FBI agents as the "G" stands for Government, the slang term later is used as a reference for all police.
Hosted and produced by famed former FBI agent turned Hollywood player Melvin Purvis. Know for manhunts of Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Floyd, and John Dillinger, Melvin Purvis was known as a real life Dick Tracy for his war on the gangsters in the 1930s.
Junior G-Men was such a popular show, that a Junior G-Men's Boys Club was created. The group was so popular that it rivaled the Boy Scouts. The Junior G-Men's motto was "It's easier to build boys than to mend men." The show later was reformatted to become a 12-chapter film serial.
