Alice Frost was a radio actress who co-starred on Mr. and Mrs. North for ten years and as Big Sister for five years.
Alice Frost was born in a conservative household with a strict father who believed that a woman's place was in the home. After a beautiful of "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" at the age of four, Alice Frost knew that she wanted to be on stage. Her father discouraged her that "Acting was not for ladies" and forbade her from taking roles in high school plays, but her quiet mother gently stuck up for Alice Frost's dreams and the rest is history.
Alice Frost was tall for her day, standing at 5'7" and had a difficult time finding roles due to her size until a chance encounter with a theater director looking for tall actresses which lead to better roles and a foot in the door. Later a friend got her comedy roles on Bob Hope, Stoopnale and Budd, Fanny Brice, and more. She met Bill Tuttle, her future husband, on the set of Big Sister radio show.
