Graduation Day Speeches 1960-2020

One of the great achievements that a young person has is graduation.  When you graduate, you not only experience that rite of passage into adulthood, but you step into the real world having finally grown up.  

While we look to our parents and other loved ones whom we are close to, it is nice to hear some inspiring words from our national leaders and people from the worlds of business, entertainment, media, military, politics, religion, sports, and other vocations that might have inspired our studies whom we can benefit from their advice.

In some rare cases, like at Kent State University in June 1970, 40 days after the fatal shootings, graduation was a time for healing with no fanfare, but a big hug of everything will eventually be OK.
