Dr. Paul was a radio soap opera billed as "radio's wonderful story of adult love". The show first appeared on NBC from 1940 to 1945. It was revived briefly in 1953 and syndicated by RCA. For fifteen minutes every Monday through Friday, people tuned in to listen to Dr. Paul work to save people, hear his wife scheme, and listen to the woman who loves the doctor from afar.
The first series was originally sponsored by Dutch Mill Cheese. At the end of the show, Jack Moyles the announcer, provided delicious and nutritious recipes for the housewife at home. The syndicated series was sponsored by Sno-Drift Shortening and Wesson oil.
