Answers were tough, and the consequence for an incorrect answer were even tougher - one man was asked to make love to a skunk, a woman had to propose to her escort on one knee while the audience went crazy with laughter, a soldier had to call his girlfriend while a woman in the studio sat on his lap and said things like "watch out honey, you're ruining my hair."
Audiences and contestants alike looked forward to the consequences, which were riotious. Life Magaine described the show as "the nearest thing to insanity in radio today."
Writers on the show spent weeks, even months, prepping gags for the show. In one show, a man is asked to act like his is wooing a seal. The audience went wild when Ralph Edwards, the host, led a real seal out to test the man's skills. Listen to this insanity, but go to the bathroom first becuase it's sure to be a gut buster!
