This is the story of Teacher Eden Channing and her family, much of which revolve around life on the home front during WWII. Her father is in estranged from the family, working in the theater in New York but is able to return home to Freetown to help with the War Bond drives.
Eden's love life is on hold as her beau, Paul, is in the army and subject to orders at anytime. Meanwhile she is being pursued by the dashing Captain Bob Hastings, an aviator who "Treats his social life like he fights as an aviator, he puts all formality and heads for his goal at full speed."
Eden herself joins the WAACs, and worries when her kid brother, Davey, who has been sickly, is finally well enough to be drafted into the Army. Another character played by Arthur Elmer is a 20 year-old guy who tries to appear 17 in order to avoid the draft. This collection is also part of the Rare Soap Operas Collection.
