Comedy, Romance, and Dramatic Anthology (1941-1954)
Stars Over Hollywood changed Saturday morning radio programming for the better. When Paul Pierce, director, pitched the program as a Saturday morning show, critics were sure that it was doomed to fail. They swore that nobody would listen and big-time actors and actresses would refuse to do the show live at 9:30am California time.

Thirteen years went by in a blink, and they kept their same Saturday morning time slot. The program, sponsored by Dari-Rich, Carnation Milk and Armour, was informal and light-hearted. Big stars such as Alan Ladd, Mary Astor, Phil Harris, and Basil Rathbone starred, often showing up to the set in pajamas or bathrobes. So slip out of your Saturday morning stupor and enjoy this critically-acclaimed program!
