"To your good health, from the House of Squibb!"
The Squibb Show features music Lyn Murray and The Squibb Orchestra from the House of Squibb, makers of Squibb Tooth Powder. Lyn Murray composed, arranged and directed respectively many shows in his entertainment career including the Fred Allen Show, Town Hall Tonight, Texaco Star Theater, Columbia Workshop, An American in England, Your All-Time Hit Parade, Adventures with Phillip Marlowe, Ford Theatre and many others. Richard Stark was the announcer for this fine music show with an impressive list of guest performers. One guest star in the show was Audrey Marsh who had a long and successful career singing in radio and concerts. Born in New York City on May 18, 1911 to a family of performers. Her father, Joseph Zellman, sang for the last Czar court in Russian and fled the communist revolution by winning a scholarship to study in the US. He opened his own music school, Zellman Conservatory of Music. Her mother, Rose Kornicker, was a concert pianist, taught music, and recorded an impressive collection on Edison Wax Cylinders. Marsh was born into music and was cast into the play of Abie's Irish Rose at age 16. Frequently hired to sing jingles, she memorialized such products as Muriel Cigars, Blue Bonnet Margarine, Royal Pudding, Schaeffer Beer, Robert Hall Clothes and Chevrolet. She also performed on such shows as The Big Show, Burns and Allen, The Ford Show, US Steel Show and many others.
