The this is a collection of the Coca-cola company-sponsored show of
Mario Lanza. Mario Lanza was born Alfredo Arnold Cocozza, 31 January
1921, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, and died on 7 October 1959,
in Rome, Italy. He took the male version of his mother's maiden name,
Maria Lanza. In 1943 he was drafted into the service and performed in
Winged Victory. When he returned from service he signed a MGM contract
and made several films. He abused both food and alcohol and died of a
heart attack at the young age of 38. It is believed by some that he was
murdered by the Italian Mafia for refusing to perform for Lucky Luciano.
