Comedy

One of Britainís great character actors, Ronnie Barker stars in Lines from My Grandfatherís Forehead. The show consists of short comedy skits, funny songs, and monologues. It was quite different than anything other programs of its time, though it is somewhat reminiscent of the comedy on The Goons Show.

Ronnie is also known for his various characters on the old time radio show, Navy Lark. Often on Navy Lark, Ronnie and actor Jon Pertwee would often laugh so hard, they were paralyzed to do anything else. Everyone would stand around until they could regain their composure. Ronnie is also well known for his work with Ronnie Corbet in The Two Ronnies. Very little is known about Ronnie Barkerís life, as he is a very private man. Well respected among his colleages, Ronnie prefers a quiet evening at home with his family to the celebrity life that so many of his fellow actors enjoy.

The talented Ronnie Barker passed away at age 76 in October 2005.
