Leave it to the Girls features a roundtable of "glamorous women" from New York City who answer questions from men and women around the country about dating and marriage. The table includes a combination of the following women: actress Paula Stone, Fashion editor of New York Magazine Florence Pritchert, Ellen Chandler, television host Eloise McElhone, actress Madge Evans, Robin Chandler, Marilyn Cantor. The show also includes a "girl of the week", which one week included Lucille Ball.
Men are not excluded from the discussion as there is a "man of the week:" from editor of Life Magazine George Fraiser to cartoonist Ham Fisher to Lou Lauria to author William Bradford Huey. If as listener's question is read on the air they receive a $5 in Victory Stamps or after the war, they received $10 in cash! In the early broadcasts, the "man of the week" also had the distinct honor of choosing the question of the day giving the winner a $25 Victory Bond.
