"If at first you didn't succeed, there's always a second chance." Johnny Olson mediates this second chance game, calling it the quiz show that takes nerve, showing that opportunity can knock twice. On each show, the hosts select an audience member who have failed at the first try in love, and want to give it another chance. Often hilarious and usually with a happy ending, this show can also shock us a bit when we realize that it was broadcast in the mid-1950s.
Some of the more hilarious shows feature stories of spousal spats, a Texan who ran out at the alter and want another try, and a wife who was fired by her boss husband and wants her job back. Don’t give it a second glace, listen to Second Chance the first chance you can muster.

"Second Chance" stars Johnny Olson, helming his own network radio program, decades before becoming the voice affiliated with Goodson-Todman television game and quiz shows ("The Price is Right", "Match Game", etc.) and announcer for "The Jackie Gleason Show" (particularly when broadcasting from Miami Beach). Nice to hear Johnny repeatedly acknowledge his "Million-Dollar Penny", Penny Olson, his longtime wife. These are positive, uplifting shows, and provide hours of listening pleasure. - William "Billy" Carroll, Denham Springs, Louisiana
