ArthurSmithwas a local South Carolina guitar-playing legend heard locally everyday on WBT and nationwide every Saturday afternoon on CBS.ArthurSmithis best known for the instrumental songs Guitar Boogie and Dueling Banjos. The show featured Arthur, SonnySmith, Roy Lear, and RalphSmithplaying Esau Jabberjaw, a black delivery man. He was know as Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith so he was not confused with Fiddlin' Arthur Smith.

The 15-minute show featured country music with an electric guitar lead byArthur Smith and his band, The Crackerjacks, skits, and gospel music. Throughout the show, there were commercials for items such as Cheer. The show was on the air for many years
