Part of the Mission of the Armed Forces Radio Service was to educate service men and women. In addition to the marvelous entertainment programs produced by AFRS or donated to the service, a number of educational and historical dramas have been produced.

American Heritage illustrates some of the concepts that have made America a Great Nation. ″The Magnificent Possession″ dramatized the birth of the United States Constitution. Members of the Armed Services do not swear a loyalty oath to the President, or any politician. US Military personnel swear to Defend the Constitution of the United States.

AFRS Label"The Mails" traces the history of letter carrying throughout Western Civilization. In these days when an email, which can be delivered faster than it can be written, it is interesting to hear about when news from Washington reaching San Francisco in less than three weeks was considered miraculous.

The Land-Grant Colleges Act was the dream of Representative Justin Smith Morill, "The Man Who Sat on the Apple Barrel" staring Hans Conried. The Land Grant Colleges were intended to provide an Agricultural Education, as well as Classical, Liberal, and Military subjects. The Land Grant Schools are the basis of the State University system.

American Heritage is a wonderfully done dramatic anthology used to educate soldiers about the history of our great country.
