Usually a persons Last Will and Testament is a rather dry, even boring legal document. For many it is simply a legal device which is used to ensure that a persons affairs and estate pass smoothly to his heirs after his death. Wills are unique in that by definition, the writer will not be available to make sure that his wishes are carried out when the document goes into effect. For this reason, under English and American Common Law, wills are held with the greatest of respect.
Because a will carries so much legal weight, they have the ability to influence matters "from beyond the grave." This is every bit as ominous as it sounds, especially in the stories presented in Strange Wills.
Produced by Teleways/Michelson Syndication in Hollywood in 1947, Strange Wills starred Warren William. The stories are all supposed to be based in fact, though the names are said to be changed. They range from tales of insanity and even horror, to pirates tales and lost treasure. In every case, it is the voice from beyond the grave that gives story its most chilling aspect.
