Produced by Indiana University, the show presented dramatized stories based on science subjects such as genetics, atomic power, electricity and more.
The 15-minute show premiered on October 6, 1947. It aired every weekday was was targeted to elementary and high school students to supplement the science curriculum in Indiana. In the beginning, 12 stations carried the show with about 24% of high schools tuning in during the year.
There are very few surviving shows for Indiana Schools of the Sky.
