Ed Wynn’s Happy Island was sponsored by Borden Milk with Elsie the cow making frequent appearances.

Wynn played King Bubbles of Happy Island, a place where there are comedians, singers, King Nasty and Worry Park.

Even though the show was on the radio, Wynn insisted on performing the show in full make-up, full costume, with a full set.

ABC cancelled the show after six months.
