Down Our Way is an old time radio show that focused on the simple life of small town America. The show surrounds the life and times of Eli Jenkins, the town's grocer as everyone turns to Eli when in trouble. Eli's has gotten fat from his wife, Jenny's, good hometown cooking which include stew, flapjacks, and other favorites.
Down Our Way features both the good and bad of neighborly, small town living. Some down home politics include resentment over who won the ribbon at the pie contests at the fair to bragging about being the best in town at horseshoes.
A little magical part of Down Our Way features choir music intermixed in the plot as the local choir regularly meets at Eli's grocery store.
