Popular Music (1932-1949)
Produced by Frank and Anne Hummert, The Manhattan Merry-Go-Round was reminiscent of Your Hit Parade. Music was chosen based on record and sheet music sales. It was known for its up-to-date tunes and plugs of popular dinner and dance nightclubs of the era.

This added to night clubs’ growing popularity, and encouraged out-of-towners to attend nightly shows when coming to New York. This collection includes one full show and one short musical number. So grab your mink or slip into your spats, it’s time to take a whirl on TheManhattan Merry-Go-Round! |
