I was There is a rare but excellent historical old time radio show which gives an eyewitness account to notable events in history and extraordinary news stories.  The events are dramatized from the tales of real eyewitnesses who were there at the scene. Events include:

• The dramatic life-saving dog that inspired one American to starts of the National Guide Dog Foundation  
• The 1916 election between Woodrow Wilson and Charles Evans Hughes, which some believe was fraught with clerical errors
